Our Church History

Wilmington Community Church has a rich history. Our church started over 130 years ago as the Mission and has had several name changes since. Recently we have become Wilmington Community Church from Wilmington Christian Fellowship to reflect our desire to support the local community. Over the decades, we’ve seen God lay good foundations, expand our vision and sphere of influence and lead us through times of challenge and times of consolidation. When God breathed this church into being, He saw something. He saw who we would become and He saw what we would do. The fact that we are still here today is because of that vision and God’s faithfulness and commitment to us. As we have for many years, we want to continue to bring hope and life to people, families and the community of Wilmington and beyond by sharing God’s love in a real and palpable way. Together with Darent Valley Community Church and New Barn Christian Fellowship we share and work together as Harbour Ministries.
